3D PRINTER?!

My school is apparently getting one for next year?

I'm just wondering if its legit, or if anybody has one tell me how it works ; - ;

They're obviously "legit", but they can only print in plastic and I think a few other materials. They seem pretty interesting, but far less special/amazing than what most people make them out to be.

they can print silicon as well, iirc.
there are supposed to be newer ones in the works that work better for different things idk

It isn't actually too new, I've seen one in front at a Microsoft Store, it feels like a hard plastic and the seams look really obvious. But yes, they do work.
