I currently have Molly and Fauna as my two (dreamie) normals. I told myself if I ever found Skye, I'd join her in.

So her I am, island hopping, and along comes Skye. So I was wondering what experiences youguys have had with 3 normals? Did they get boring or repetitive? Do you miss having other multiple other personalities?

I appreciate all imput!

I only ever had multiples in NL and I hated how repetitive the dialogue was. I had 3 snooty and 3 cranky villagers at one point. I have all 8 personalities now and I could never go back to having 3 of the same, no matter how much I like how some villagers look.

I had 3 normals but they all had different hobbies so it wasn’t too bad. I got tired of the repetitive crafting recipes though.

Ah, okay. That makes since. I'm just not sure since I find all the wolves super cute!

So the different hobbies make the dialogue different? And yeah, the recipes can get tiring.

I had 3 normals at one point, but there dialogue can get pretty boring very fast. Also, sometimes when they would talk to me they would feel a bit... cold? Like they completely lack any personality. Two should be fine but I personally wouldn't have more than that. Although of course this all is based on my taste, and if you just happen to like normal villagers the best, then go for it!

if you’ve got a spot open i’d take skye and just see how you feel! i’ve had 4 normals at once (waiting for them to give me pictures lol) and it did get kind of boring for me, but i don’t love the normal dialogue in this game. if you don’t mind the two you have, adding skye will probably be fine.

Yeah, the dialogue definitely lacks some personality after awhile. I'm thinking to let her go unfortunately that way I can have multiple of another personality!

Wow, that's quite the quantity of Normals, haha. Their dialogue is pretty dull sometimes, but I really like how sweet they can be sometimes. But now I'm starting to think to leave her so I can have multiple of other personalities!

I have 3 normals, but they're one of the best personalities to have multiple of. If you want to know my current lineup it's aurora, goldie, and skye. However, I don't really talk to them, other than giving them gifts for different reasons, which is the repetitive dialogue they have.

Do you find their dialogue in other conversations repetitive? I usually engage with them often and I don't want to end up disliking one of them.

i agree that normals are the best personality to have multiples of. honestly, in any game if u had more than one villager of the same personality the dialogue got repetitive. acnh is no exception to this. the fact that the villagers have subpersonalities/hobbies has helped out a lil, but ull still run into that repetitive feeling. idk why some people say normal villagers r boring, though. imo theyre the epitome of friendly, anxious neighbor who's just chilling on an island. i wouldn't always keep 3 normals at the same time, but u could keep one until u get their picture then let them move on.

The repetitive dialogue would be the same as any other personalities, which is the fact that they bring up past villagers or "I saw you digging up holes", so compared to other villagers they're on equal footing. Honestly,it's up to your personal taste on which personality you like the most.

I’m not 100% sure on how it works even after looking it up. I experience repetitive dialogue with all my villagers, but I had Piper and Wendy on my Island at the same time and they were exact clones of each other and it got really annoying. I currently have two lazies Dizzy and Lucky both with the play hobby and I don’t find it too bad. Yeah they’re similar but not nearly as annoying as hearing everything Piper just said an hour ago coming out of Wendy. It’s more of their actions thats different from each other. Skye will sing and Dance while Poppy will wear those cute glasses and study things. Merengue was nature not sure what to say about her because I never clicked with her. I’ve had two different Jocks one was play and one is fitness and the fitness one is a lot more intense personality wise. So I’d say it depends and you really don’t know until you try. But I will say that I love Sky.

Of all the personalities I think normals feel less repetitive because the stuff they talk about seem broad general topics like cooking, reading, or music as compared to jocks or peppies which you can immediately feel like you’re talking to the same villager.

I have 2 smugs, 2 crankies and 1 of everything else since I do think it gets repetitive! But if you really like those villagers then that's what matters the most :giggle:

I have Kiki,Melba and Jambette on my island but I'm not really noticing repeat dialogue.I do have them living in different parts of the island and they're very different species-wise so I think that helps.

I liked having the different personalities initially, but after a while, the dialogue is still fairly repetitive even if you just have 1 of the personality. I'd say if there's a villager you want, you might as well try it for a while, and if it becomes too repetitive, you can always change it up later.

I'd be interested in knowing what differentiates the dialogue - if it is hobby, species, or something else.

I had Beau and Sherb for a while (both have the nature hobby) and they seemed like the same villager. When Beau left, I got Bob (play hobby), and some of his dialogue seems different than Beau or Sherb.

Thanks for all of your feedback. I ended up taking Skye, and decided to see if it got repetitive. Skye has a different hobby then Molly and Fauna, so hopefully it works out well!
