I don't understand why they would release that handbook if they're going to add more stuff into the game.

Hope your not too disappointed and you enjoy it . Unfortunately I haven't gotten my hands on one. From my understand I wouldn't call it outdated necessarily, it just this community has a strong building of online resources and of sharing of information. So the companion guide doesn't reveal that much new information as people hoped because of that. Its main charm it is a physical version guide/catalogs. There people who love collecting those.

honestly i have the book and it's pretty useful. it has the whole catalog of items from launch including recipes, it has a list of all the kk slider songs, it shows the inside of all the villager houses, there's a guide for hybrid breeding and hha points, etc. it has a lot of good information & sure i could probably google everything now & use online lists and stuff, but that info had to come from somewhere and that somewhere is the guidebook.

Funny i got my Two days Ago too. No Printing error or damage. However my cat like to clean herself and send a droplet of water on one of the page i was reading and did not catch it till i gone back and saw one of the page sticking together a small part of it. Sigh.....

Mine arrived two weeks ago.
The bug section is hard to read with the 5 color graph but it does give times.
The fish section is just gives morning/evening, afternoon and night with no times in the legend.
The guide lists afternoon for the Guppy. The guppy can be caught 9am to 4pm. Not sure what Afternoon means for the guide.

When mine came in last month, one of the pages were messed up where it got folded in help and poor Boone never got colored in. He's all black and grey. Luckily enough, this was the only error and I still kept it.

I Need to pull out my copy and check. I Did not know there was at oversite on that. Maybe i was more worry on the printing area then 100% fact finding. But ya i saw the color code part. Hard to follow and understand.

Thank got you catch at early. I Had a Book one of the Eargon books. The Elder one had a big black Print mark in the middle of the page of one of of the last 30 pages. But the bookstore will not allow me to return it as it was after the return or whatever. So i had to buy a new one and check it each page this time. I Still keep it as it just at one page. I Had a other one with missing pages at the end too. God i do not like when printing error happen or missing pages.

It's very cool. I haven't run into any printing errors yet, but due to "life", I'm only on page 65 out of 430. lol

Just checked my order...it'll apparently be here Wednesday. Meant to cancel that darn thing. Oh well, my kids will like looking at all the items and what not.
