3 minute treasure hunts??

The only villagers that have asked me to do this, only asked after we officially became "Friends" (according to the Nook Miles achievement for it, anyway). So you may have to reach that point with villagers before they'll ask you to play!

No problem! And honestly, they don't ask very often. I had been friends with one of them for several days before she randomly ran up to me and asked if I wanted to play it. I also don't know for certain if that is the reason they ask to play it with you---I can only surmise it's that, since the two that asked me so far were both officially at friend level.

But here's to hoping that yours will play it with you soon!

I’ve played three times (twice with Cherry and once with Audie or Fauna, i dont remember). I managed all of them with lots of time to spare, probably because they didn’t hide it on top of a cliff. I got both 5-min and 3-min hunts. Not sure how they determine the time.

I had it one time and the treasure mark was literally visible before the timer started I thought this was super easily implemented or that there were many fake ones that I did not see because I was lucky on my first try.
but apparently I was just lucky with the spot.

I've done it twice, but both times they buried the treasure so ridiculously close I found them within 20 seconds.. I can imagine it can be super hard though, especially if your fossils are still buried as well.

I’ve played it three times, and 3 minutes is way too short. I’ve manage to win them with only seconds to spare, and my island isn’t terraformed so much. Can imagine it’s nearly impossible for those with complex and overly decorated islands.

I have only had one so far, and it went well. I found it within 2 minutes. However, I forgot that I did it, immediately went to a friends Island, and when I got back I couldn't give the item to Goose so I had to get rid of it. I was very gutted.

I've played three times, didn't find the treasure one the second one, it was buried on the CORNER BEHIND A CLIFF I swear Alli does not wish me well in life.

Tia sent me on a 3 minute treasure hunt. I was so excited I ran across my entire island only to see it in the last possible place, to the left of the Residential Services (I initially went right in a counter-clockwise sweep.....).

I only had 5 minute treasure hunts so far and I still found them super hard, especially the first one. The second one was easier, because I had already built lots of slopes and bridges and put paths down, so there was less space for the treasure chest to spawn.

I thought the 10 minute hide and seek in New Leaf was super easy and sometimes I longed for a challenge. Be careful what you wish for I guess.
