3.0 update what will you do first?

From what I've heard there's no upgrade to QR code slots which is a bummer It'd be so nice to have more especially for the slumber islands.

Darn that's a shame. I wish each resident had their own QR storage.

I’m definitely making a beeline in getting the lego items first. They’ll go perfectly with the daycare area that I’m decorating.

I can't wait to dig up all my excess flowers and put them in storage. I'll probably organize them to keep a certain number of each type and color for future outdoor decorating changes.

I want to completely flatten my island and start over without resetting the whole island again. I did that when the updates stopped and regretted it so badly

Now that we can store flowers, shrubs, and trees, I might eventually flatten too. Plus we have Resetti to help. It will be so much easier to make major changes.

I will probably check out the new items, then scope the hotel and see how it works. I already have an inkling how to incorporate it within my island and how unfortunate(ly funny) that it is on my murder dock. I also have an idea for what I'd like to create for one of the slumber island(s) and probably think of event ideas for that too.

Test to see if bulk crafting counts everything crafted and immediately finish the DIY Tools achievement.

Properly design the hotel mannequins. Panic over having to redo a ton of my island to accommodate for "we have hotel guests that wander the island now".

The first thing I am doing is checking out the hotel that we get on the docks. I am interested to see what we can do with it. I have a few questions on what we can do with it:

• Can we decorate the hotel?
• Can we work there and check people in?
• Will this work like the campsite but instead we have multiple islanders staying there?
• Can we change the outside of the Hotel to match the colour of our airports?

I am so excited I also wonder about the new items we get with this update. I have seen a few that I want to collect but do we use bells to pay for these or Nookmiles?

I'm not going to dive in immediately. I'll browse the net for info so I don't go in blind. I know there are people who are immediately going to check the game data once the update is out, so I'll hang back for a bit and spoil myself by checking out all the new things they discover.

When I sometimes saw this thread while browsing the forums I planned to comment one day that I would start by checking on all my villagers and my whole island, as I haven't played for months now. I would need a small reminder of how things were when I left.

But I will probably do that today, tomorrow, or the day after, when I go to do the tasks for the event. I kind of wanted to wait for the update but I don't mind.

So with checking my island not being the first thing in order, I will probably go check out Resident Services and the shops for any new items and features. I will probably order the storage expansion, and then do all the stuff related to the hotel like ordering it to be built, I guess.

Now I’m unsure if I’ll be getting back to the game right away since right now I’m preoccupied with another game .

If I can somehow manage to put that game down and work on both that and acnh again that’d be great; don’t think I’ll be able too though since I’ve been feeling burnt out (not from gaming or anything in particular). I got all the amiibos that I’d need to be able to get the Zelda and Splatoon villagers and items so my first priority along with checking the items is scan them (if that is how you get the items to show up in catalogue). Considering that I’m burnt out, I think I’ll probably take my time unlocking items and going through the new features. I’ll see though. Maybe that’ll change when I see more posts about the update.

i restarted back in november to be ready for the new update, i probably will use resetti first to clear my beaches of my hybrids and put them in storage

Has there been mention if they're upgrading our QR slots? I need more. I ran out of space so quickly even with the additional upgrade. And there's so many QR designs I would love to add to my island. So hopefully there's some QR slot upgrade and in which case that will probably be one of the first things I do.

I don't know if this helps, as I love having designs and such, and I know the amount of favorite creators is limited. I created a spread sheet so I can keep track of my favorite creators, what types they have (clothing which is spring/summer, fall, winter, fancy, costume, and other) so if there is a maker I really like, and I want to pull them up again, I just sort by what I want, see the maker numbers, if they aren't in my favorites already, I can look them up, and so on. I have it on google docs so I can share a blank version so you can have your own.

I'm going to do upgrade storage, I have alot of bells, and grab the new items via amiiboos as soon as I can, and start on the hotel.
