well to get back on topic, isn't the Colour TV Game the first console Nintendo made? It dates back to around 1978. Also Nintendo claimed the rights to distribute the Magnavox Odyssey in Japan making it somewhat one of Nintendo's consoles which was distributed in 1974 in Japan and 1972 in North America. But if you don't count that then the Colour TV Game is the first console.
