Any ideas why I keep getting Pink roses from 2 red roses instead of black? I've been trying for weeks to get a black one. Do I just have to wait until I have my gold watering can?
You don't need a golden watering can to get black roses. The issue here is that they've added genetics to the flowers with this game. My guess is that one (or both) of the red roses you're using were the child of a red and a white rose or something to that effect. So, the consequence is that the child of a red and a white rose would have red AND white genes. (I'm not going to attempt a punnet square.. high scool biology was forever ago.)
The effect is that one (or both) of these roses has a red and a white gene and have the capability of passing down either gene to an offspring; which means that you can get a pink rose from two red parents. The rest is left up to probablility and you just so happen to be the lucky one who keeps getting pink.
For better results, try using two red roses purchased from the garden shop. These will have two red genes and will only be able to produce red and black offspring (I think).
