2 DIY message bottles per day per player?

I was just watching a Youtube video which said that each person can get 2 DIY message bottles per day.
I've only ever gotten one (besides the times I'd travel to mystery Islands).
Is there a specific time frame for these DIY message bottles to appear or did the person on Youtube just get it wrong?

You can get one per character. He might have been playing on another character and didn't pick up the bottle for that character.

I've gotten 2 in a day before, one in the morning and one in the evening, but I did miss the one from the day before so that was probably the reason for 2

Idk but I think I’ve actually gotten like 2 or it felt like 3 in one day, and there’s only 2 characters in my island, and the other character didn’t play at all that day

i think i read something where after the latest update people found that after a while another bottle could show up, though it was mostly rng. i'm not completely sure though

When I only had one player, i only ever got one. Once i created a new character, I find 2. But I believe that since I open my main first and get their bottle. Then I load my second and don't pick up my bottle, when I load the main again, the second's bottle is there on the beach waiting for me.

I log on multiple times a day during different times and I've only ever encountered one, which is why I found it odd.
I only have one player on my Island.

When I only had one player, i only ever got one. Once i created a new character, I find 2. But I believe that since I open my main first and get their bottle. Then I load my second and don't pick up my bottle, when I load the main again, the second's bottle is there on the beach waiting for me.

That could explain why I only get one then. I just have one player.

I've only ever found one a day on my island, but a few times I've got a second while on a mystery island. I think that's completely random though.

yeah, i only have one and have never gotten extra, but recently i've only really been able to play later in the day so i haven't been able to test anything myself

so you could just make 8 players, cram them somewhere and get 10 trillion diys a day? I need to get in on this
