Does it have to be sixteen different villagers?

Someone moved out on accident. So now I have to move out sixteen different villagers to get them back because I don't own the card.

Unfortunately yes :( I have done it myself so I know it isn't impossible, however its easier to have two free spaces to work with (Getting the last invited villager to move is always much much harder!)

It might be better to try and purchase their card tho if you have don't mind spending money and/or don't have much patience :)

So from what I understand here, you can't go about swapping around the same six or more amiibo cards to count for slots?

No the amiibo cards are not connected to the 16 villager cycle, so for instance you could just have 2 cards and keep moving in and out with just those two villagers. It is however a lot harder to move villagers out that have been invited in my amiibo cards, so it's best to just get the villager card you want to keep :) It's the only way to avoid the 16 villager cycle!

Oh, okay! I thought that if I kept pushing amiibo villagers out with more amiibo villagers, that would push Poncho farther and farther out of the cycle. I guess $1.95 isn't that bad. :'P

Hmm, I'm not actually sure if it still effects the 16 villager cycle, but just overrides the need to do a 16 villager cycle yourself... Any cyclers here ever seen a Welcome Amiibo villager - or a villager they've moved in and out via card - in their Main town before, that's really the only way to know for sure!

You can prob try it and see, move a few of the cards you already have in and out 16 times and then attempt to invite Poncho back?

Hopefully someone with a little more experience in this area can give you more information!

I believe you can, somebody made a thread about it on here a couple of weeks ago. It seems that each villager you scan in knocks another villager out of your void. So you should be able to just keep repeating that 16 times

If you happen to find the link to the thread, please let me know!
