Kid Iccarus Uprising is SUPER fun and Tomodachi Life is a simplistic version of the sims, very easy going. Those are two of my favs but of course any Pokemon game works great. You could get some Amiibo figures, 3-4 of them if you like those.

It is a great shooter/meele/fighting game, was a near release title on the 3DS but the wifi mode is still very popular so you won't be missing that great plane of playing
