  • That's actually a pretty good set! Though I can see why some shapes don't work that well haha

So anyways, I took your Celes tag and edited it a bit in Photoshop to give you some ideas for brush placement:

(pretend that the top splatter is in the back)
When splatting, just make sure to erase parts that look weird and use clipping masks on areas that you want to blend in more.
Ah and btw, I used a different brush set which I unfortunately can't find it again... I think I downloaded it off an artist's portfolio website a long time ago :-/
I hope you get the idea, though!
Hmmm, first I would search around on deviantart for blood brushes. That's normally better than searching splatter brushes, for this kind of work. If you don't find one you like, I can rec some that I've used before!

ALSO, there's no exact science to it so I can't explain it that clearly at all, unfortunately, but people usually add splatter in both the foreground and background. I can provide a visual ref for you once you pick out some brushes! Though that has to come later since I'm working on a logo atm
Hmmm, I think that would be best. It could use some more effects, even though the fractal is nice and compliments everything well already.

Some ideas would be clipping masks, blood splatter brushes, grunge textures, more red lighting, dark abstract C4Ds, smudging with flow, and maybe even mono-red/bw coloring! Your call ;-]
the lines definitely look smoother! what opacity did you use for blurring though? maybe it'd be better to stay on the low side, with 60% or a similar value. that makes it less noticeable
the colors are nice! at this point, I'd suggest making some of the lines of the render less sharp (her chin and mouth, for example)
It's pretty impressive that you managed to use it well tbh. I've had the same fractal lying in my folders for a long time but I was never able to actually put it on something without erasing everything, haha.

What else do you plan to do? or is that the finished product?
np, there are tons of places to get renders :-]
you could trying doing a simple google search next time or look on places like planetrenders, bakarenders, deviantart, etc. good luck with the decision haha
if you still need those renders, I found some cool ones! (by just searching 'celestia render' on google images lmao

Ikr? I like a lot of unpopular characters in the animes I watch :'-[
But then again, I'm lucky in Danganronpa, since Kirigiri is my fave and there's lots of art of her haha. Anyway, I can search for some Celestia renders if you like? I think I have some of my own too, actually. She would fit in with the banner style you were going before with the Mirai Nikki tag (that is Mirai Nikki, right? I'm not too familiar with the show but the girl looks familiar, lol).

As for effects, I can give you some ideas once we decide on a render. Don't worry too much about it! There's lots of things you can do ;-]
Though I'll be signing off soon after this VM, so ttyl! Catch you tomorrow. I'll have some suggestions for you.
Oh lol thanks for telling me, I never remember to clean it out haha.
Anyway, it looks a lot better already! The render does appear a bit odd, though, as it was originally leaning to an angle. There are a lot of good Celestia renders out there, so you shouldn't really have a problem finding a nice one!

Are you going to go with the same style as before?
