Smash Bros Your views on "For Glory"

So I played a 1v1 custom FG tourney a few days back, I was playing Lonk since I'm trying to pick him and Toon up at the same time, So this guy was hella dumb, typical arrow spam and side smash like no tomorrow (We were both Link)

So I'm here standing letting him shoot arrows at my shield, accidentally killed myself due to a failed mid-air DAir, so we're at one stock and I'm high %, he arrow spams again, I got cocky and thought "I'mma just block em lmao" and it hits my toe and I'm sent off to the other side of the world.

My face was so blank, expressionless.

I'm proud to say I'm capable of beating arrow spammers. I proved myself with a guy who just spammed as Link and ran across to the other side of the stage whenever you tried to get him. I beat him eventually.

I love Villager or any reflecting characters because it feels like 25% or more of players spam on FG and you can just ruin their style by throwing it back at them w/o playing as their character

Yes, this especially.... I feel like if I play as Sonic I can beat almost any Link spammer out there...

I generally enjoy For Glory. I don't enjoy the zany, item-filled For Fun.

The challenge offered in For Glory is enjoyable and I like to test my Ike and Marth against competent players. Sometimes there are jerks who spam throw and act cocky, but it's all the more rewarding to defeat them when I can. Sometimes I'm plainly outclassed and that's okay. I go in there to have fun and I have no illusions of grandeur. I would never make it in the competitive scene, but I'm happy with my level of skill.

JV3'd a T.Link spammer with Ganon, he went Sheik next game but I almost JV3'd again.

I love destroying these scrubs sometimes, Ganon isn't even a main of mine.

I always get caught in the air when I fight Tink/Link spammers. Either I get hit and i'm sent upwards or they run in while the endlag from airdodging before you hit the ground is in effect. Teching doesn't help too much either, it seems. I did, however, 2-stock a R.O.B projectile spammer with DK, though, and I ended at 43%.

Like, seriously, my win rate was around 20% until the Roy/Lucas/Ryu update, and after that I couldn't play anymore because my Wii U doesn't have enough space for it.

I was mainly ground based because this guy really loved to use Toon's DAir, he was just ASKING for my F Smashes, the guy only got one kill on me out of the 5 matches we played and that was because I mis-input and he landed Link's Up B on the ground, I'd totally upload the Toon one but it's on 3DS and I can't be bothered to record it on my phone.

Speaking of my FG experience, why has every WFT user I've fought been so good? I'd totally put up a part of a battle where they absolutely timed an FAir spike so well after me using Lucas' knockback from PK fire to get back to the stage, but alas, 3DS again.

Reminds me when I accidentally SD'd my first stock against this cocky Falco user, got both his stocks without me even reaching 50% on my second.

I really need to use more characters other than my PSI boys, gotta play non spammy Toon some more.

For Glory is hard for me. For Fun is a lot more... Fun, and hectic IMO because most people just want to walk around and not fight for the whole match, and then it become a huge hectic competition to see who can survive the Bob-oms that rain down during sudden death.

The Link's are really annoying to many projectiles at one, even worse in laggy matches, they spam like hell, even though they are predictable I still get launched by them....

Fox annoys me too...

Oh...and last but not least the TAUNTERS! These people are really infuriating. They Taunt when you fail to recover and when they spike you.... Ughhh... Worst.

The Team battles on for Glory are painful to play through....because I usually end up with an idiot on my team...Its called TEAM smash for a reason. I had three different people play as Little Mac, every single one did a SD! If you cant use the Side-B don't use, cause it drags your team member down as well. I can't stand this game sometimes. Its really annoying. Most of them are too cocky as well.
