You as Mayor VS. Tortimer as Mayor

Do you think Animal Crossing is more fun with you being mayor or Tortimer being mayor, and who do you think is the better mayor?

I'm asking because New Leaf is my first AC game and I want to know if I should go play the original or Wild World, and i also like seeing this kind of debate (I'm not playing City Folk because I've heard talking to your villagers is a pain).

I've played Wild World and New Leaf, and I gotta say New Leaf is way more fun. There is so, so so much more to do, and so much more customization. Whereas in Wild World, all you can really do customization-wise is chop down trees, make patterns, lay paths and plant flowers. Which is, you know, still a lot, especially considering it was on DS, but yeah. I like being mayor!

I always found it weird that you were always the one chopping down trees, laying paths, extending your house etc. and also that you can't move out in Wild World, but at least in New Leaf there's a reason it's you doing all the work!

It's much more fun being your own mayor. There's so much more to do in New Leaf than in the older games.

Pretty much everything I was thinking has been said above. Being mayor is so much more enjoyable than just a standard villager. It's an idea that I am happy the Animal Crossing staff came up with.

I think it's more fun to be mayor. I never got into the other games because when I tried, it seemed very unrewarding. At least being mayor, there's more of a sense that there's a reason for me to decorate my town and take care of it and more control over stuff.
