What's the longest you've ever hunted for a map?

Got my town on the second reset. Course I was new to ACNL and I was actually mainly resetting for fruit and villagers rather than my map. But I'm happy with how my town turned out regardless.

I'm going to go visit your town through the dream suite soon. lol

I think the most I've reset was two days, but I know people who have resettled for weeks for a perfect map. That's just ridiculous to me.

Most I've spent was three days.
When I recently restarted, I was lucky enough to snag my preferred layout in about two hours. I'm very happy with it. Aside from layout, I was mostly looking for circle grass and apples. Villagers didn't matter, as most of them would be replaced by dreamies anyways.

I think I spent 4 hours a day for 1.5 weeks for my current town map. I was determined to get the perfect map.
