Question regarding talking to animal villagers

Hey! I just started playing Game Cube Animal Crossing again with my brother and I'm having a blast!
But I have a question that I'm stressing a bit over, haha. How many times can you talk to an animal villager before they get angry? I don't want to annoy the poor villagers, I just like their dialog xD

Umm, I haven't played this in a while, but I believe its 10 at maximum. But of course, they get angry anyway. You know how Population: Growing's Dialogue can be.
