So I know what you're thinking - Jou, aren't amiibo super glitchy?
And yeah- kinda! But mostly on the host's side. Adopting forced-out villagers via amiibo seems to be working regularly for the adopt(er).
Know the risks, check out this thread for more information.

HOWEVER.
I have had a lot of success getting villagers for my friends, even in NH.

In fact, the entire town of Moonrest is dedicated to helping people find their dreamies!

The villager asks for 3 items and I have to make them before they agree to move in, and Moonrest is not full right now so it might be a bit before I can force her out. I will use a different amiibo to have them ask Diana to move out, thus allowing you to adopt her from there!
