How to prevent villagers from nearby people's towns coming in?

Weird question, I know. I really want Daisy move out soon, she's a really awesome villager, but she's given me all her good furniture and I've just gotten her pic, and I'm just plain bored of her at this point. Only thing is I think there's another person in my apartment building who plays AC as frequently as I do and I keep getting their villagers? My last 3 move ins came from this person lol! I really want a very random villager next just to spice things up but I'd prefer to keep my wifi on.

Turn off your SpotPass from your title screen. It will prevent streetpass move-ins. This will not stop random move-ins from online interaction though, so just don't play online when you have someone in boxes, if possible
