Recently, I got a job in the game as a gardener. Just picking weeds in exchange for a few bells.
It was going well for a while but in the last few weeks I have noticed some concerning that I feel could be perceived as microaggressions. For example, when I was picking the weeds the other day, there was a sombrero behind my boss' house. Then, just the other day, his a message on his noticeboard read as follows: 'Happy 2024, guys! Note to all workers: Cinco de Mayo will NOT be a public holiday this year.'
Am I going crazy here or are these incidents connected? I feel like this is an indirect attack on my heritage...
