Do you have school when there's a holiday?

When I was in kindergarten, my school did have Columbus' Day off (this was during the early 90s). Later on, the teachers, parents, and community members decided that Columbus' Day is not a holiday we should have school day off anymore-- we later then learned about Indigenous People's Day.

St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, and Halloween are days we still have school.

Well I had school on Columbus day.

I remember when I had senior year and Hurricane Sandy came around. The school was off for about two weeks, so we head to skip some of spring break and president's day weekend to make the days up.

Oh my gawd that was so tedious to go through once the storm subsided.
