Hi there!

I wanted to ask everyone's opinion on who they think the most country specific villagers are in Animal Crossing =D I mean this both in terms of outer appearance and house design!

I was thinking of starting a Round the World type of village ^^

The most obvious ones have to be Lucky and Ankah, obviously Egyptian, but what others?
Here's what I've come up with:

Lucky + Ankah - Egypt
Genji + Kabuki - Japan
Hans - Nepal
Pekoe + Drago - China
Chrissy + Francine - America?
Monique + Cousteau - France
Boone + Elvis + Savanah - Africa?
Tia + Margie - Indian? Or do you think Tia is Thai based on how they worship the white elephant...?
Ozzie - Australia (the only Australian to me cuz Walt has very Asian furniture!)
Sprinkle - Antarctica
Erik - Canada or Eurasia?
Vic - Viking

Clay - Ancient Japanese or African? (Tribal masks vs Jomon Pottery... what do you think?)
Merengue - Apparently spanish... Do you think this sounds right, or would she pair nicely with Cousteau as a sort of chef type thing? XD
Where do you think Croque is from? China or Japan?

This is gonna be a long list so Imma put this into a spoiler...:

Here we go;

Anabelle,
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Anabelle)
Annalisa,
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Annalisa)
and Olaf
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Olaf)
are pretty german names... the description and houses aren't too far off either and all of them are Anteaters..., lol!!

Klaus and
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Klaus)
Paula
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Paula)
seem to be german bears! Paula's name even remains Paula even in the german version!

Jacques
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Jacques)
could be french.

Angus
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Angus)
could most certainly be german, his name remains Angus in the german version, his original shirt could kinda resemble a german flag and yea...

Out of the cats
Tom,
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Tom)
Bob,
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Bob)
Mitzi,
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Mitzi)
Kiki and
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Kiki)
Olivia
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Olivia) could possible come from germany, most of the names stay the same in the german version and are pretty common in Germany!

Benedict &
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Benedict)
Egbert
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Egbert)
have to be german chickens, old school german names and they stay the same in the german version. :p

Barold,
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Barold)
Diana&
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Diana)
Erik
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Erik)
could be german cubs/deers, because of the names again.

Lopez
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Lopez)
is Latino for sure, the name is a common latino name.

Benjamin,
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Benjamin)
Daisy &
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Daisy)
Marcel
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Marcel)
could be german too, not too sure about Marcel though because he gets renamed to Ronaldo, lol!

Gloria
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Gloria)
and Bill
(https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Bill)
could be german ducks!

Hans, Graham, Bertha, Annalise, Julian, Winnie, Astrid, Marcie, Mathilda, Sylvia, Dora, Greta, Penelope, Samson, Axel, Frobert, Frank, Simon, Marina could all very well be german too, if we are only looking at names.

Zucker has to be heavily influenced by Germany because his name literally means 'Sugar' in german and he resembles that too.

Flora, Phil, Flo, Kevin, Carmen, Baabara Caroline, Filbert, Leonardo, Bianca, Rolf, Claudia and Wolfgang are common german names too...
Sorry for writing/leaving out wiki-links at the end but it got tiring. I may edit this post sooner or later!

I think Gladys could also be considered Japanese-themed. She's based on a red-crowned crane which are associated with Japan, and her original shirt has Japanese-style clouds on it.

He definitely isn't Canada, I'm not even sure if he's Canadian, however Reindeer are found at the North Pole I hear
;)

Boy Crosser - you like Germany don't you? haha only jokes, but I kinda meant people who are both in appearance and House design - like Lucky is both mummified and has Egyptian furniture - see what I mean?

Zucker is Japanese. He is based off of a takoyaki! "Zucker represents the Japanese snack takoyaki. His head resembles a takoyaki ball, and his green freckles resemble seasonings put on takoyaki."
