confused about how to get a campsite villager to move in

so i asked cookie to move to my island, and she said yes. the villager that she’s replacing is in boxes, and she’ll be gone tomorrow. how do i set up a plot for cookie tho? do i have to wait until the other villager is gone, invite her back to the campsite and then set it up or? someone pls help lol

Today - Villager that will be replaced is in boxes
Tomorrow - Previous villager's house will be an empty plot, with a sign saying it's sold to Cookie
Day after tomorrow - Cookie should move in
