Cast your own AC movie

Let's admit this for a minute.
We all wanted an American release or reboot of the Animal Crossing movie. And the fact that Japan only has it, and that Nintendo has no plans of bringing it overseas is saddening.

But imagine this; It's the year 2023, you're a director of a large movie studio, producing great movie adaptations of videogames over the years, and Nintendo needs you to make a second Animal Crossing movie into reality.

Who would you include and exclude, who would you cast, and would you made the story completely different?

Here's my take:

Synopsis:
A 21 year old woman becomes the island representative for the first time, and she felt strange to become one, as she learns the hard work of being the best island rep and makes a 5-star island.

Of course it doesn't have to be extremely perfect. I do love to see what your dream AC movie reboot would be like.

I'd like to see an ac anime series that was basically just a slice of life with comedy thrown in too maybe some drama that takes place in a multicultural city. Throw as many ac characters in there as needed.

I think it would be cool to see the lives and stories of characters both popular and not popular that only show in the background of scenes and not a word is ever uttered from them or about them, but you notice them and thier lives even though the show is about the main cast.

It could also be a cool way to introduce a new character in the world of AC before the Nintendo announcement of new villagers being launched in x ac game.
