Characters that were originally Japanese but came to America/ Euroupe.
a style and term that originated from Japan.
It means Kid, little child, or small in Japanese.
but when using it to describe an art, specifically "anime style", it usually is a person or thing that has big eyes n head un-proportionate to the short/small body.
people would characterize it with the word cute, you know like a kid. hence the meaning.
