body art: tattoo or taboo?

I think most body art is gorgeous!!! I don't think I'll ever have a tattoo of my own because I really just can't handle pain and I'm especially afraid of needles aaaaa

Logically, I think people should be able to make whatever modifications they want to their own body. That said, I can't help but be a tad repulsed if I see someone who overextended their gauges or whose piercings blew out, but usually that's not their fault (unless they were very careless). Also I'll be the first to admit that scarification kind of creeps me out, even though the end result is often gorgeous. If someone does their research and is responsible, there's nothing wrong with body modifications, at all.

I have piercings in my ears and a now-closed lip piercing. I also have more than one tattoo.

I think body mods are awesome as long as it's not hurting anyone or is of anything offensive. People can do what they want with themselves and their bodies and I hope to get a tattoo in the future myself. I'm just making sure to think for a long time about it to make sure I want to.
