It was not there before, I made sure. Also, he said he came from the town Redrun, which is the town of a visitor I received after talking to Francine, so he came from the void and overlapped her invite. I'm still unsure of what happened exactly.
I invited a villager before, they said yes and the game was saved but I still got a villager from someone else's void instead. I'm not sure if there was some kind of problem saving or if the void overlaps the invitation, but I won't feel safe until I see the plot from now on. x)

Are you planning on opening a villager shop too? It's better to have a cartridge just for that, I think, all the time traveling would mess up too much a main town x) I don't even have a NFC reader xD I'm planning to get Drago, Chevre and Annalise for Hangzhou after Kitty, Chester and Marshal move out, and Francine and Rex for Sundance if Cheri or Deirdre or Hamphfrey ever ping to move
