    I don't dislike the friendliness, although I see your point! I think because NL is more of a "family" game, Nintendo didn't want to make it too "mean" and offend children or parents.

    I did the same with my first town. On my current one, it took me maybe three or four tries, but I got a layout that I liked in the end. It really just depends on what kind of layout you want to have (maybe you can look up some examples from other towns if you're still not sure?) Just keep on...

    Opinions on Time Traveling?

    It can be very useful when you want to get things done quickly, but there's also always the risk of "corrupting" your town when you try to travel back to the present. This is why I, personally, don't use it, although I wouldn't mind doing so if I had extra copies of NL.

    What an interesting list! Correction, though: "carmen" doesn't mean "garden" in Spanish. I've been taking Spanish classes for about two years and I've learned it as "jardin" (with an accent over the "i"), but is it possible people in other countries spell/pronounce it as "carmen"?
