I think it just means the MS will be mentioned in-game, since the HoT once used it to defeat Ganon on the adult timeline.
Knowing Nintendo it will tell what happened in OOT and MM at the beginning of the game.

That hasn't been confirmed, as both this and what Mega posted are both just rumors. Nothing is confirmed.

If these rumors are true it means a Majora's Mask sequal, which makes that impossible.
