Yume Nikki (plus theories!)

Hello! As the title states, this thread is about Yume Nikki. Yume Nikki (which translated to "Dream Diary") is an RPG 8-bit game where you play as a person called "Madotsuki" and the whole game is about exploring Madotuski's dream world. They're dream world is very interesting for we are left to interpret Madotsuki, the dream world and basically everything in the game.

I'll start by saying that I find it interesting that the game itself has nothing canon to it and that literally everything can be theorized. Not even Madotsuki's gender, name or overall existence has proven facts! And what up with this world? I personally don't find it creepy. Any thoughts?

yume nikki is one of my favourite games ever, i loved playing through it and always gave me chills. the OST is really nice too.
