It's no secret that I adore pokemon MD. The characters, music, story.....Gameplay?.... Anyway my favourite PMD game is PMD3 Gates to infinity. I was wondering, is it anyone's else's favourite? I just fell in love with the characters from the word go and enjoyed the story to. I was absolutely horrified (in a good way) at one of the scenes! I'll let you guess which one down below. But I was amused by the somewhat darker tone that this game had. Now please don't get me wrong PMD2 Has a very special place in my heart, as the first pokemon game I ever played and the game that introduced me into the series!

Oh and if anyone knows who the character shown in my avatar picture Is, without searching it up, I will be very, very impressed!

I think they're fantastic. I really need to get my hands on Gates to Infinity soon.

Blue Rescue Team is my favorite of the bunch.

Clueless.

I began with Explorer's of Sky and Explorer's of Darkness. I haven't played Gates to Infinity or Red/Blue Rescue Team, but I really want to.

I've played blue rescue team, explorers or time and explorers of darkness so far. My friend has a few othere, and we are going to swap once she finished the ones she has.
So far my favourite it blue rescue team.

I've only been able to play Explorers of Sky (back when I was a lot younger, I ended up giving up on Blue Rescue Team and I don't have to finances to get Gates to Infinity) but from what I've seen of it, it's just awesome!

The music, the character portrayals, the gameplay, the story. It's literally the first game I've also cried like a baby at, which I'm not saying is a bad thing. But yeah, I really enjoyed it and I do want to get the new one too.

I would recommend playing the demo on the e shop you can play the first half an hour of the game! That's what I did when I was waiting for release date !

I did enjoy the game boy advance/first ds version. The sequels I didn't find much interest in. The 3DS one is rather annoying in my opinion. I played the demo and got annoyed with the story and constant chatting, and it just didn't appeal for whatever reason.

I've played it a lot, its so boring now. I wish there was more of a postgame in GTI.

THIS^ as soon as I got Oshawott back and returned to Paradise. I was really pumped for all the Awesome adventures! When there was no cutscenes the next day of was like..... Is that IT??? 0_o My only negative with GTI :(

I don't like the gameplay. I die a lot in those games so it makes doing long dungeons frustrating. But amazing stories though. Idk about the new one though.

The bosses used to frustrate me in all the games. They just spam some attacks which often do a lot of damage, and all you can really do is sit there and spam your own insignificant attacks. You can't really run since they always chase after you and they have far too much life. (Plus if you die the game makes you restart the dungeon).

It also annoyed me in the end game dungeons when most pokemon did 1 or 2 damage to my main character with attacks, but then suddenly will come out with a different attack and one-hit KO me. That really annoyed me.

Dialga. He is seriously annoying, but easy to kill if you got Dig and a high leveled Pokemon.

Primal dialga was super annoying. I admit having used an action replay to get past him :c

Dialga was a real fight and I was really ready for the same scuffle with Kyrem. But sadly he was PAINFULLY easy, on a good note though, his battle theme was FANTASTIC in my opinion!

Love the games, but I feel like the dungeons are a lot harder than the bosses at the end of them. Pack a few sleep seeds/Paralyze seeds/Worry Seeds and bosses are cake. Or bring a pokemon that can do bullet seed because that move is seriously OP. Long range+High damage+Multiple hits, better hope you aren't on the receiving end of that attack. Don't get me started on ghost pokemon.

Really want to try the new one for 3DS since I played through blue rescue team and explorers of time.

Same here. I was expecting a great post-game, like Blue Rescue Team and Explorers of Sky... I loved GTI, but the lack of post-game story was off-putting.

love them lots
only one i havent played is gates to infinity
the one problem i have with them is boss battles where they spam moves that hit your whole party at once before you can even walk up to them.
i wish i hadnt traded explorers of time
i had fun in those dungeons that started you off at level 1

my fav was defs explorers of sky. Gates to infinity really killed the series for me IMO.

The main reason I didnt like it was the fact it didn't include all Pokemon like the previous series.
Also, once you finished the main story, there really wasn't a lot to do. With the previous games you know, I'm busy evolving my tea, trying to catch legendaries etc. Once I finished the 3DS version, I just went to a dungeon, used a pure seed or w/e, leveled up my startedr and partner to make us evolve, then never touched the game again.

Yes, I liked the story of this game, but it was lacking. I also didn't like the new style, I preferred the pixel images from the previous games. AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE CUT SCENES. they were way too long and unnecessary

The demo really put me off the 3DS version. As already mentioned the story and cutscenes just went on forever and ever and ever and asfdsjfksgslgkasdlgas.

I want to say I prefer the pixel style, though maybe I would appreciate the 3D games and models better if the game play and story didn't be so annoying. I also wish they at least included all the Pokemon in the previous games. And yes, end game was very fun on the other games, especially the first two red and blue rescue team games. It was fun having some goals to go after, secret dungeons to discover, legendary pokemon to hire and new bosses to find.

Its a shame its losing its touch. RIP Mystery Dungeon series.

I really like them! I still prefer the normal Pokemon games but Mystery Dungeon games are so addicting. I love how the dungeons are different each time and I think the story was pretty good too.
