Erm... what's cycling?! :s

A cycling town is a town that is dedicated to move out villagers for the community. The community adopts these villagers, and the people hosting the town are the cyclers—cycling is the term used when these cyclers time travel to move out villagers etc.

More annoying to me are the ones that send them to the void within 15 minutes.

Honestly, I came to join these forums because I was looking desperately for Freya -- and cyclers not ONLY blew me away in their generosity and kindness, but inspired me. The person I got Freya from isn't necessarily a full-time cycler, but she gave her to me because I was so desperate in my search. I got some of my other top dreamies from cyclers.

And, this is why I've decided to become a bit of a cycler myself, with my third copy. I've never seen such a lovely idea; it's so beautiful, and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see all the cycling threads. It makes me so happy to know that there are people using their time to make others happy and give them the dreamies they need. I'm still learning, and I'm probably going to be very slow, and my third town is going to become a permanent town as well, but... I still want to try to give back. I want to make others feel the utter love and joy that I did upon discovering this wonderful community and all that it does for its people.

I may sound sappy, but cyclers left a HUGE impression on me. I will never forget it. I just hope my method will be okay, and will make people happy.

There are people who give villagers less than that, 15 minutes is a good average tbh. I'm personally somewhat of a slow cycler since I somewhat obsess over giving a lurker the villager they've been lurking for, so waiting for people to make room and all is pretty usual for me. But in the end I don't mind since I do this to give people their dreamies, so eh.
The thing I don't like is giving only 15 minutes when the villager has a lurker who's offline. But it is understandable since most cyclers don't want to wait.

But I don't know if you call a bunch of friends who stick up for each other 'cultish'.

I freaking love cycling and being a cycler, and I love the some of the cyclers. Some of the rules for some people are strange, and auctioning off the populars, I believe, ruins the point and purpose of cycling. I think it was made to avoid the selling and buying of villagers.

But.. whatever.
