I think they're really kind for using their time (and money) to help the community. There are some people who are ungrateful to them (yes.. even the "lowest" of them), but i hope that doesn't stop the good deeds they're doing, and I also hope that those people who criticize them have an unbiased, valid reason for feeling that way. Honestly I feel like cycling again but I'll probably do it privately because I don't want to cause drama and unnecessary stuff in a thread (also because IM BORED with my game again :( )

What do you think of them? Anything they should improve on, or are they doing well? ^_^

Yeah I got Octavian through someone cycling. Best thing is they are always in a rush to get onto the next one and I like a quick sale, no messing about.

I don't like those auctions where they insist you write a big paragraph about why you want the villager and what they mean to you etc.

I agree with you here. These are unnecessary and kind of boring in my opinion. I prefer good 'ol first come, first serve.

Those types of people are generally annoying anyway, they just like the thought that they can make someone else do something for them. Or that they have something someone else wants and they kind of dangle it in their face.

The better cycling threads are first come first serve, maybe with raffles for the more popular villagers.
It's also good when the person cycling says they're going offline, so many times I have been stalking a villager, only for the cyclist to go offline without saying anything. It's really annoying, and very rude imo.

Again I have to agree here. (I'm probably clogging this thread but IT'S MY THREAD YOLO) Simple = best. And in general, people who postpone / waste time really irk me >.<

I have been thinking alot about cycling too. Thinking should I get another console and game and make a cycling town like most people? But also thinking bout the pros and cons which this can be very time consuming but is fun to give others their dreamies =D And I really thanks to the cycler for doing all this cause I knew this is not easy >< even I am not doing one lolx

If you really want to start cycling, you can try to find 2nd hand copies in your gamestore / online. There's practically no reason to buy a brand new one over a cheaper copy.

The best part for cycling for me wasn't to give villagers to the community (but it's close!), it's the randomness of what the game will give as a villager / camper.

TO CYCLERS: What makes you enjoy cycling?

I think they provide an excellent, selfless service to the community. What's up with the tag? "Cyclers are actually ew?" Sounds like someone didn't get their dreamie and is bitter, lol.

I've just discovered 'cyclers' and am learning how it works. I think it's really awesome and so kind! :]
Why is it people criticize them? Is it because they see it as cheating or not the way they think people should play?

Well not really "criticizing", it's more like disrespecting. I've seen occasions where someone who doesn't get a villager get really annoyed, and drama happens.

I think the vast majority of them are doing something tremendous for others. I mean, really, its a lot of time to dedicate to others, many of which you never meet or interact with again, so that people can get their dreamies or to prevent a random from moving in.

There are a few, however, that I have read through where they seem downright mean... being curt or snippy. Yes, absolutely, its your thread and your rules, and somone doesnt have to take a villager from you if they dont like you, but it seems like they feel if they are being generous, they can turn off the politeness filter.

So I feel like its a mixed bag. Having said all that, its actually a mixed bag for those cycling too! I cycled for a bit too, and I was surprised by the experience. While most people who picked up were nice and grateful, there were some who were pushy, some who were rude. Like people who arrived in your town, no greeting, just ran to the villager and picked up and left. Or those who took a villager only to void them quickly when a "better" villager came along (depriving someone else of a dreamie). So yeah, mixed bag all around.

I think that most of the people here are REALLY nice and generous! Someone payed 500k to get a villager for me, and I didn't even know them ;__; that's so nice!

I do Cycle myself, and I always feel bad when I void a villager that someone really wanted but they where just too late.

Cyclers are some the most selfless people on this forum, in my opinion, because they work so hard to TT and get villagers out. For anyone who has tried TTing people out, it's not easy or quick. You've gotta dedicate lots of time and heart into it.

Lol, I'm also a little biased because I've gotten a few of my villagers from cyclers and I love them immensely for their generosity. <3 <3

Most cyclers are really nice people and they're genuinely so kind hearted and love when they can get someone their number one dreamy

However, as a long-term cycler myself, I've noticed that some newer cyclers are useless.. They make threads that either have no work put in, or their walls of text are impossible to read.. They spam, they're really slow but continually bump their threads, just ugh

And I also hate how some cyclers decide they have the right to auction the popular villagers.. I despise that.. Cyclers don't cycle for their own benefit (except for the satisfaction of making someone happy), so when people toss away the unpopulars and keep the populars to sell, it really gets on my nerves

I love cyclers. One cycler helped me get one of my biggest dreamies! :D ( Roscoe <3 )

Haha I really like this thread!! xD Cycling is very time-consuming for sure, but it's worth it. I love seeing how happy people get when I give them a dreamy they've been waiting for. Time constraints can kinda suck because it is time-consuming and prior commitments can be a problem sometimes, but I try to do it when I have free time.

I don't understand it well enough to know how it works, but it seems that it's a fun thing to do and anyone who is kind enough, to do it for the benefit of others deserve the utmost respect.

Cyclers are Cosmic!!

I like some of them.
Not overly fond of the FTL cyclers though.

Most of the cyclers on here are really nice and generous. I got my last dreamie (Rosie) from Mooarya on one of Willow's cycling threads, so I will always be grateful for that <3
