Your fin fu is weak

It is modeled? It’s just makes it hard to tell because there’s no water displacement where the fin is, but it’s there

Oh, it is? I caught them at the southern part of my beach, so maybe I just couldn't see it too well. I'll try to get a better look next time.

I normally see them fine, so idk! I haven't done too much shark hunting though

Size 6 shadows in general should be made bigger. I mean the fish you catch with it are all 10+ feet long, yet are nearly identical to the size 5 shadow.

Why no polygon fins in this game? Just a barely perceptible shadow fin? I was genuinely surprised when the shadow I caught turned out to be a hammerhead. This seems like a (minor) step backwards.
I was disappointed as well.

They also ruined the goliath beetle.

It looks like a tiny squashed bottle cap.

Downsizing seems to be the theme of this game.

I think Blathers does say that they grow up to 4 inches, which might be why they made it smaller.

I was fishing and I caught a hammerhead shark and I was like what??? There was no fin?? It just looked like a sea bass shadow.

I screened it and paused it and you can very barely see it (at least at night) when it's fighting for the bait. It's so hard to see because it's basically the same colour as the shadow itself and as someone else said there's no visual water displacement around the fin...the fin is so hard to see on my TV tbh

Straight on, the fin is hard to see, but as you're walking north on the coastline, the fin is clearly visible. It isn't as obvious as previous games, but definitely present.

Or if you’re fishing at sunset, the fin is a bit red compared to the rest of the shadow.
Made it a lot easier to identify sharks on southern beaches.
