"Young Americans Are the Dumbest Generation"

I don't disagree with you there but you have to admit that this generation is quickly falling away from sensible morals.
I can't disagree with you there, but it's still a generalization; and a stereotype nonetheless. Sorry, but pompous Brits and Canadians that talk crap about America when all they know are the common stereotypes about America, that pisses me off well.

As far as I know, this video has nothing to do with Americans. It's probably the same for everyone else. It's just that this guy is an American, talking to American, about the kids he's experienced with... Americans.

To be completely honest with you, I didn't watch much more than thirty seconds of the movie. Stereotyping is disgusting, even if the video didn't, people in this thread are.

The human mind is programed for socializing, and ensuring the survival of your "group", and this is why sites like facebook have such an appeal, you get to help others form distances in ways you couldn't before. Does it take over other things? yes it does. Does it happen to everyone? no.

This like every time in written human history is a scary time filled with perils of its own, and despite becoming so connected by the internet, there is a point that it starts to push people to feel all the more isolated, all the more simply a grain of sand an the beach.

I am a little confused where morals came into play in all this... Is it because people care more about finding out how their friends are doing instead of reading a book? Either way I have to disagree that they are really degrading, there is just as much good in the world now as there was 100 years ago.

I don't remember any stereotypes in the video or this thread.
Stereotyping an entire generation.
He never said he thinks everyone was dumb, etc. He said it's something he noticed with your average person. He's saying this in comparison with other generations, so it's not a stereotype.

"Actually, it's both. Not only do they not think about consequences of actions, <big><big><big>they're also stupid and very uneducated, especially compared to their European peers.</big></big></big>

<big><big><big>/kinda big stereotype, but it's mostly true!"</big></big></big>

You might have missed that part.
