Pretty accurate, wouldn't you say? :D

It's not that we are dumb, it's that we don't take time to think and lack of care towards are behavior now and their consequences. Teens today think they can act any way they want without it affecting their future.

Actually, it's both. Not only do they not think about consequences of actions, they're also stupid and very uneducated, especially compared to their European peers.

/kinda big stereotype, but it's mostly true!

Just to add something, all generations think the generations that come after them are the worst generation.

"What is happening to our young people? They disrespect their elders. They disobey their parents. They ignore the law. They riot in the streets inflamed with wild notions. What is to become of them?"

-Plato, 427-347 B.C.

... :P

Is that supposed to be about everyone or just some people? I'm just wondering because there are people in this generation who are nothing like that.

There are exceptions to every rule. We're talking about most people, not all people.

Somehow I doubt you know the comparisons between Americans and Europeans

it just so happens that this guy is an American and lives in America

The youngest generation is ALWAYS the dumbest generation.
But they won't be the youngest generation for long, is the point.

True, but society is getting worse and worse in each generation, abandoning simple morals for the selfish pleasures of life.

I would say a majority, actually, much more than the majority, are aware of the consequences of their actions and therefore do not do what they were going to do before they thought of the consequences.

There does seem to be a trend about people not caring about others...

Once people stop caring about others and are almost completely desensitized, then we have to start worrying. We're not quite there yet, but the thought of our current state is a bit frightening.

If you're saying what I think you're saying, I actually agree with you.

I'm usually quite aware of the consequences of my actions. I just usually don't care enough to act based on those consequences, instead going with my initial instinct.

For the most part, it's like Koehler said. Most teenagers (At least, most that I know, maybe it's just the area I live in) know when they do something will have a bad consequence. THey may not know what it is, but they usually know if it'll be good or bad. They just don't care.

Ah, good ol' fashion stereotyping.
Exactly.
It actually quite sickens me. Such actions of stereotyping are so... evil and bad. Only bad things can happen from generalizing and being negative towards people.
I don't disagree with you there but you have to admit that this generation is quickly falling away from sensible morals.
