Luckily I now have the whole gorgeous set. As much as I love the Gorgeous Series, I don't want to get it because 1. I'm so DONE with sets (Took me 6 months to complete the entire HHA dealio) and 2. I can't afford it xD

You should have used your 2 flashy items. As long as you didn't wear anything official you would have been fine.
