You can't plant flowers on designs

I wanted to plant flowers on top of this dark mulch pattern.

It's not possible to put a custom design on your Island Designer app and plant a flower on top of it? You could use the dark dirt and put flowers on top if you want. I don't know what else you could do.

Would a mulch border work? Like if you used the dark dirt and then had a mulch-like texture pattern on the edges? I know it might not do full justice.

I was super bummed you can't place buildings/houses on custom paths.

Even if the custom design is fully transparent, you still can't. And it sucks.

In some ways it’s a good thing. I use designs to keep my flowers from growing out of control. It would look nice to be able to do that though.

I mean, on the bright side, yeah, people can use them to control their flowers... but it'd be cool if custom patterns in general had settings you could toggle, like whether plants/things can grow through them or what sounds they make when you step on them
