I’m trying to find my wedding veil to put on a villager, however that’s not appearing. Do certain accessories disappear?
You can’t access certain accessories at Harvey’s island?

Oh, because it falls under the helmet accessory category than the hat. You can't put "helmets" aka wigs, baby bonnets, actual helmets, etc on villagers.

As far as I know, as long as furniture is in your catalog, you can use it.
The helmet thing is just because those villagers can't wear those in any circumstances, since it would be hard to make them fit when so many villager have ears and stuff.
(this also makes Harv's island a handy, in-game place to check what villagers can and can't wear!)

Yeah it’s the furniture pieces. I’m sure I have them (moms homemade cake ) but I can’t quite find it. The catalog here is so confusing.
I can 100% confirm you can use Mom's Homemade Cake:
Unless they've changed something in updates, but IDK why they would. And I agree, they REALLY need a search function or something

One thing that Harvey's Island arbitrarily prevents is putting custom design clothes on villagers. There's an option in some of the categories to choose a custom design when dressing up a human, but that isn't there for animals…so you have to hope they wear the clothes randomly on the day you visit Photopia.

try changing it to filter items "alphabetically" instead of by type (the default)!
edit: pretty sure you can do this by pressing Y but I dont remember exactly
