I was shopping for the acnh companion guide (which oddly enough Amazon didn't have. I'm disappointed.) when I saw in the search "Acnh bells" I was like "bells like a toy or something?" No it's like actual bells for the game,, I thought it was strange.

If you thought that was bad, I had someone tell me that people go on Amazon to sell rocks. Back to the topic, isn't that against the terms of use? It's pretty flawed that things like these are being sold on Amazon as if the policy hasn't been properly enforced.

yeah, there’s loads of people selling in-game stuff on amazon and ebay. it’s bonkers lmaoo

Im curious what the RLC-IGB rate is.. I would never buy it cuz I've played stalks enough but I've always wondered.

I don't condone it, but then again, companies sell paper with codes on them so you can get in-game content. I don't know if I should be annoyed by someone selling Bells for real money or not.

Yeah but that's the official company this some slim shady dude on Amazon

Lol that's hilarious that its on Amazon. But I know there are lots of twitter and insta accounts that offer in-game items for money, there are even accounts that offer an "island buffet" where you can pay RLC to go to their island and fill your pockets. A lot of ACNH accounts I follow on insta usually advertise these islands. What does everyone think of that?

Years ago, when Amazon was afraid that Ebay would eclipse them, they basically incorporated their own version of ebay into the main store and they don't police it very well. There are actually a lot of brands that won't sell on Amazon so the only way to obtain them is to go through the independent sellers & a lot of them sell fakes. It's poorly regulated. Amazon is not very good about culling scammers.

personally i feel like its against the spirit of animal crossing, to me the whole point is that it isnt pay to play. buying amiibos is another story to me though since villagers are a bit different

;; My mom has gotten fake stuff here n there but we tend to stay away from independent sellers or third party sellers unless they have good reviews or i'm buying stuff from Japan or Korea (Japanese merch and Korean stuff s kinda hard to find under a official company,,)

my favorite are the sellers who rip art from others, turn it into stickers, and then sell on etsy bundled with in-game items... so you're paying 10c for a sticker and $20 for x mil bells lol. it's crazy

I mean, unless you have tons of RLC to blow, you're probably better off sticking to the stalk market.

Every ac game is designed so you don't have to pay to play,, it's not Fortnite or clash of clans!! I mean trading tbt for bells or nmts for bells is fine because it's not real currency,, it's weird to think people spend real money for ac bells. Amiibos I give a pass because that was an official item done by Nintendo. Plus people buy those now as collectibles more than as an actual means to getting a villager.

Yeah, I seen this stuff a few days ago and was like WTF!
