Congrats! I'm at 1,630 right now and the only thing that keeps me going is the promise of finding more Spider Crabs to decorate my island.

Decorate!? Those things are horrifying!

The completionist in me wants me to do all achievements, but I'm simply too lazy. It's funny though, because I have all the time to grind seasonal DIYs (got all of them) but too lazy to break 100 axes.

Ever since my Shovel/Axe post, I've been buying a flimsy axe per day just to hit that golden recipe a little quicker lol

EDIT: ...and I had a natural Gulliver visit...and he gifted me stuff I already have, not even a color variant, so I may never get that shovel DIY...

Exactly! They're perfect for my ocean horror themed town! I just need some more sea creatures to take over my town and then it'll be finished!

When you decorate with them, are they in tanks? I really wish CJ would make models out of the sea creatures, because now I'm thinking that it'd be nice to have crabs around the island during the summer months. That aren't in tanks.

Nope! Spider Crabs, along with Snapping Turtles, and Horseshoe Crabs are actually tank-less when you display them, which is why I want a bunch for my island.
