WTF??? PLEASE HELP

I tried to grow perfect trees on my beach (because everywhere else in my town is covered in paths and I just wanted them on the beach,, ok?). I didnt time travel, no one trampled them -

I wake up this morning and EVERY SINGLE ONE IS WILTED. WTF????? Can you not plant normal trees on the beach??????

PLEASE HELP.

I don't think you can, i think only the tropical trees (bananas and coconuts) can grow there and vice versa. also cedar trees can only grow in the top half of your map

The only thing you can plant on the beach is palm trees (the coconuts & bananas) and flowers.

I think it's been like that in every Animal Crossing game.

You can only grown banana and coconut trees on the beach.

All other fruit has to be planted on your town's land.

While this thread is active, I have one more question I'm getting mixed answers about: can you time travel while perfect trees are growing? Every time I do, the supposed-perfect tree only bears regular fruit...... but other people have said this doesnt happen to them. Thoughts?

No way, seriously? Apple. That is so weird. I could have sworn ive seen towns that have one of each perfect fruit.

Yup, it's the rule. Only your native fruit can become perfect if you plant a perfect one. I'm not sure how'd you get other perfect fruit trees other than your native.

I went through an entire basket of Perfect Peaches before I found out I couldn't plant them (native is orange). Boooo
