Wrapping paper colors and Friendship levels

We all know that depending on the personality some villagers have and the villager it self they like certain furniture and/or clothing BUT do villagers also have a preferred wrapping color paper, thats a doubt i have been having for a while, can wait to hear what you guys think!

Nope, it doesn't seem like it. The guidebook doesn't mention any such thing, and neither have data miners.

In my head, I've assigned different colors to the villagers. It helps when I have several wrapped gifts, so I don't give the wrong item.

When my villagers have birthdays I'll usually wrap their present in their favorite color (or sometimes do this with normal non-birthday gifts too), and they always comment that they love the wrapping paper, but idk if this actually contributes to friendship levels at all (or if they just say that to everyone regardless of the wrapping paper color).
