Would you want more than 10 villagers?

i wish it were possible to remove plots while they’re empty! for some reason i thought you could, and now i have a full island of 10 when i don’t want that many villagers on my island ;w; i can’t imagine wanting to fit more than 10...

Exactly.. The Islands are not big enough to cram all this stuff in them. Add in food courts, recreation areas, trees, bushes, flower gardens ect and I'd need to put the increased residents in houseboats unless they expanded the Island size.

All but one of my residential houses are on the East side of my island, and even still there's still room for Nook's Cranny, Able Sisters, and a little plaza on the East side of my island as well.

I don't think room is a big deal here. Especially not for someone like me who doesn't like putting indoor furniture outdoors, so a lot of themes that people use don't work for me. I'd rather have more buildings to decorate around.

You must not have much extra then as my Island is stuffed as it is.. I have a playground, soccer field, basketball court and a semi large flower garden / zen area.... One large'ish food court area and a few smaller food court areas.

I suppose if I ditched everything and just had houses and buildings I could fit quite a bit more houses or buildings but no way I'd want to live on an Island with nothing to do other than sit in house or buy a shirt.

I say yes, as long as the additional over 10 can be totally optional (i.e. we need to buy a plot to introduce them and we have the ability to remove the plot when it's empty) - currently, I know exactly what villagers I'd have if we could have 12...but I also wouldn't want to add a new 2 plots without the ability to remove them if I ever wanted more space.
