Would you want more than 10 villagers?

(Apologies if something similar has already been posted. I searched but couldn't find anything).

I love all my villagers and don't want to get rid of any of them atm, but there are at least 10 other villagers that I would love to have on my island (Kiki, Maple and Melba especially I love normal villagers!)
It will be interesting to see whether future updates will allow for more villagers (maybe up to 15?), but due to the small size of the islands that might be excessive.
Anyways, I wanted to hear what you guys thought. Is 10 enough or do you want more villager spots available?

Yes and no.

There are a lot of villagers I love and I would like to have more of them, of course. The problem is that the dialogue is already repetitive with just one villager of a personality type and to get over 10 you'd have to begin getting more than one of several more personality types, and potentially even three if the number went high enough.

I once had three Normal villagers and I do not recommend it.

If they made interacting with the villagers so much more diverse and fulfilling it would be a definite yes for me. But right now that's not the way things are. =(

I really would love at least 2 to 4 more. Im attached to the ones I have so they are not going anywhere. Would be nice to meet a few more though.

12 is personally my limit. It allows me to have a few more of the villagers I want while not taking up too much more space on the island. Plus I can handle a few more duplicate personalities but anything beyond that would get even more repetitive.

Due to the fact that I have way too many favorites, I wouldn't say no to an option where you can invite 5 more villagers to your island (so that you have 15 in total).

Until a couple of weeks ago I was sure I wanted more. Then I started remodelling my island. It has been a nightmare cause I decided to remodel it completely and I had all those stupid flowers everywhere and is so repetive and tedious to move them around. Anyway, this time I decided to give each villager a pretty big garden that I can furnish with things that suit their appearance and personality. The gardens are 7x7, so they are not massive but that takes so much more space for every land plot. Now, the idea to fit 2/3 more villagers seems pretty unrealistic to me

Right now, I have 12 villagers on my list, so 12 plots would be great! On the other hand, that would mean having three normals, two snooties, two lazies... a lot of duplicate personalities, and I think I would get cranky about that very quick :')

If they would only make more personailities.. or more varied dialogue per villager with the same personalities..

Yeah the dialogue repetition would also be another negative for sure. I have three lazies atm and it's getting on my nerves a little! But in saying that, having more than 10 villagers would also allow ppl to have other personality types that they haven't got room for. (I don't have a sisterly or a jock currently due to getting my dreamy list sorted).

(I don't have a sisterly or a jock currently due to getting my dreamy list sorted).

Everyone has room for all personality types, though. There are 8, and there are 10 slots. That's enough for one of each personality type plus two more villagers.

I can see how people can be stuck without some personality types. I didn't get a Cranky or Snooty until more recently, but the game provides ample space for all personality types.

Yes! I was just thinking this today. I hope future updates will include fresh dialogue! Or dialogue that's more tailored to certain villagers (i.e, their personality AND their hobby/interest).

Given the fact that there are eight different personalities, I would actually be happy with 16 since I could at least have two of each personality type. My reasoning behind this is that at least the dialogue options when villagers interact with each other will always be different. Since villagers with the same personality have their own unique dialogue, as well as when they interact with different personalities.

To make room for this on the other hand, would be a different story. I don't know how I would be able to add in six more plots in my island, which is why I guess the possibility of having more than 10 would be impossible

YESSS! That'll be awesome tbh, but I do hope they add more personalities or more variations from each personality so that villager dialogues and interactions won't be too repetitive, that'll be a dream!

12 villagers because I'm happy with my current villagers and I don't have a jock so having an extra 2 villagers would help sort this problem, also I want another smug or normal on my island as well so 12 would be the best for me

I voted 10-15, I would want 12. However, more villager slots would require BETTER/MORE DIVERSE DIALOGUE or MORE PERSONALITIES.

I'd like some more slots but I would want anything above ten to be optional AND you can remove the plot completely if there is no villager living there.
