so i was playing ACNL just now and i thought it'd be nice to live in my town. leading a carefree life and with cute villagers just seems so ideal and relaxing to me.

Do our physical limitations and physics in the real world still apply? Because if so, I don't think I would like to visit my town. I wouldn't want to shake a tree and have a couch fall on me.

A part of me says it'd be cool, the other part would be creeped out. Especially if the village and animals are rendered hyper realistic instead of their cutesy cartoon style. I don't know, it'd be nice to visit I suppose.

If it was as big as the town in HHD, then yes, but just a few buildings and 10 neighbors, nope.

I would. Even if the animals were more realistic, it would be like a bit of Narnia, someplace I wish I could get to.

uuuuuuh i mean idk??? like i guess it'd be nice in a lot of ways but also like uhhhh the roads are made of dirt and there are like four sofas just lying on the ground idk that's a bit weird

I would love to live in my town, as long as it's portrayed like they are in the games, mangas or movie. I'm mainly leaning towards it being portrayed like they were in the movie, not just because I'm a huge fan of the movie but because the houses in the movie were much bigger and more real-life logic applies to the town than in the games. Freedom of having to be irritated every day of my life and being able to talk to some of my favourite characters would be very neat.

maybe to visit for a few weeks every now and again as a secret retreat but not as a permanent thing. i grew up in a big city so it'd feel weird downsizing from a place of 8 million people to 10 or from having an insane variety of shops to just the same few everyday. plus don't i like outdoorsy stuff like fishing or dirt or landscaping so idk if i'd survive.

If we are talking about converting our town layout, villagers being replaced by actual humans and you being the mayor. Sure it's a small town but not having to pay a debt to something for some odd months is pretty good. But also wouldn't this affect salaries like how would you make money. Bugs go for like nothing plus having a giant beetle in a island would scare a lot of people wouldn't you think. I'm guessing we would have to work with that guy named Tom Nook

Yes! I'm surprised by how many people are saying no. Sure it'd be a little weird, but the peaceful and stress-free living would make it 100% worth it to me.

Sure if I could move into Stardew and my mayors house as it is now fully complete. The giant bugs would freak me out a little, but if I can avoid bug hunting I'd be happy. A fully furnished house in a small town, with no bills to pay and no need to work beyond fishing, doing small errands for neighbors, and an occasional part time at a cafe, sounds like a good life. And, my mayors house has a books, a computer, TVs, and game system, and there is music at the club every Saturday night. Really everything I need to stay entertained as well.

Absolutely, yes! As long as I could take my family with me. My town is so peaceful. I have a forest theme that is nice and relaxing. It is a small town which I love, and the neighbors are awesome. There are regularly scheduled events and plenty of food via fruit, fish, and the other items (even donuts - yum!). My mortgage is paid off. I don't have a job. I have plenty of bells in the bank and can easily make more whenever I wish. The worst thing I have to worry about is a bee sting. Shopping is conveniently located, and the coffee shop is literally right next door to me. Who wouldn't want that?
