Some people say they wouldn't be comfortable with it as the car could get dirty, damaged, etc.

Yeah, why not? I almost got a BMW once but then opted for something else. If that counts as luxury anyway. I'd get what I want, there's a billion of them out there on the road here so I'd fit in.

I don't really care for luxury or high-end cars like Ferraris, Maseratis, etc. They make me feel so claustrophobic and honestly, they're just compensation cars in my eyes. That or just rich people don't know what else to do with their money. I love my current car more than any other car I've seen on the road.

In my opinion, sometimes buying a luxury car makes more sense than a normal one. For example, my dad has a Hyundai Sonata that he paid $24,000 for. (As you know, cars cost more as you add more features to them) For only $3,000 more than he paid for that car you can get an Acura.

Of course, an Acura or BMW isn't going to be considered as luxurious as a Ferrari or Maserati.

No, because I don't really care how luxurious a car is. It's just a car, something you use to drive around.

Eh, I don't know. It depends on the car. My dream car is a bubblegum pink Corvette, but I wouldn't turn down a Cadillac either. Caddys are nice and roomy too.

Yeah, my mom and grandma both wish to have a Cadillac. However, in my opinion, they're kind of overpriced.

The problem with having a luxury car is that people will get jealous and try to key it/damage it in some way. Also, you may get some unwanted visitors. A man walked out from the store to see a dad filming his two kids dancing on the hood if his. He politely asked them to **** off but the dad went "Wait, let me finish recording".

I don't mind others having them. Everyone has their interests. No need to get jealous, of course. Most people with luxury type items work very hard for them.

I'd like to have one but there's a lot of drawbacks to it.

That actually happened? What kind of car was it?

Lambo.

he ended up selling it. he drives a chevy volt now tho.

Oh, a Lamborghini.
I could never afford one of those. Even if I could, I wouldn't buy one.
By luxury car brands I mainly mean Acura, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Infiniti, Lexus, Lincoln, and Mercedes-Benz. Really Buick and Chrysler could be considered luxury brands too, just not as high as the aforementioned ones.

Oh, I see.

I'd like a Cadillac xP My grandfather had one but he bought it when he was rather old. He only drove it twice before his health went downhill. :/

Speaking of those brands, I just have to say it, I hate Chryslers with a passion. My aunt had a horrible early 1990s Chrysler New Yorker and it was one of the least reliable cars my family has ever had.
It's okay if you mention ones like Lamborghinis, just that those are typically called "exotic" cars.

 I consider my '94 jeep cherokee that I've put 100k+ miles on (it's sitting at 260k now) a luxury vehicle

Anyways, cars by those brands can be deemed how luxurious they are by each country's market. In China, a Buick is considered a very luxurious car, probably on the same level as a Cadillac. On the other hand, there was a car Chrysler sold in Europe that wasn't considered luxurious at all-the Chrysler Neon.

I currently own what most would consider to be a "luxury" car. Pretty safe to say I dig it.
