Would you change your island name?

When I started playing (ACNH is my first AC game) I had no idea I'd be going online with it or diving headfirst into an active community. I named my island CHUD Heap as a throwaway inside joke so that I could get on with starting the game.

Oh how I wish I had known...

It's not that big a deal, and it's good for a laugh, but it's a bit awful and embarrassing all the same. Oh well! I love my CHUD Heap, and I'm stuck with the name. If I could change it, I would do so immediately.

I love my island name (Erinacea) and wouldn’t change it. I’ll probably even use it in future versions of AC if they ever come out. However, I’d love the option to change my character name. Not that anything’s wrong with it; I just would’ve picked something other than my real name so I could enjoy a different identity within the game.

I LOVE my island name. Ardenn fits so well.

This might be a tad off topic, but I wish that I had picked a different name for my first NL town. I was 11 when I started it and it was my first AC game so I didn’t know any better. It’s called Dogville and I cringe a little every time I see the town name. I wish I had known how difficult and limiting it was to have a one species town. Right now it’s consists of dogs, wolves, a cat, and hopefully a sheep in the future.

I wouldn't want to change my island name but it would be nice to have the option to just in case.

I thought up of a name for my island before New Horizons was released. I had to make sure I would be very happy with that name for years to come. Of course, not everyone is in the same situation as me so having the option open for other players would be nice so they don't have to restart their entire island just to change the name, especially if they worked so hard and made memories from there.

Honestly, I absolutely love my island name. There’s a bunch of islands with the same or a variant of it, but it still means a lot to me. Although, I would love to have the option to change your island name, or even your character’s name ~

I like mine since it has personal meaning to me but sometimes I wish I could change it just to keep it fresh!

I would never change my name. I chose Mistfall because it was simple unlike all my other names I had in my AC history. I've always chosen complex names or tried really hard having a name that just meant something. I sort of believed that was the reason why I was always resetting, so I went with something simple this time around. It was the best decision ever.

the option to change island names would be nice! though i see why they dont want to offer that option (maybe to avoid confusion with people constantly changing it? among other reasons). but maybe they can add that as an option and players can have it changed by paying a lot of bells so that people wont keep changing names or smth

lol when i first got the game it took me a day to properly start playing because i couldnt think of a good name and dont want to regret it
i really researched and made sure my island name is correct tbh (bc it's a foreign word)

i kind of want to change it... peachwood is nice but i’d like the ability to be able to change if i’m not feeling it as much anymore. (which is somewhat the case??)
