Would you buy a Wii U for Animal Crossing?

Probably not. It's bad enough that I only bought the 3DS for New Leaf.

Pretty much this.
I was willing spend the money of the 3DS because New Leaf was not the only game I would use it.
I barely use the Wii I have now, and I only use it to play SSBB on it, but that is on the 3DS as well for the upcoming game.

The Wii U would be to expensive to just buy for one game and not use it.

I prefer animal crossing on portable devices so probably not
unless they added loadsss of new features which is probably not going to happen or got amazing reviews from everyone

I'm getting a Wii U mainly for MK8. But, I'll be getting a few other games too, so I'm definitely buying AC.

Being a young student I'd never be able to afford it anyway.

***This is if I actually had the money***
If its just going to be a bigger version of New Leaf, I wouldn't bother, however peer pressure would probably get the better of me if this forum suddenly went heavily ACWU orientated.

Not really. I'm conpletely against people buying a console just for one game. It's a waste of money then people are bored of that one game they just leave the console for months so it's doing nothing but collecting dust. Sorry if I sound crazy right now but I hate to see people with consoles and not doing anything with them.

Nope. I hated City Folk. Imo, I just don't think Animal Crossing works on the Wii. I've never tried using a Wii U so I have no idea how it feels to play games. I much prefer being able to walk around with my DS and play when I get a free moment as opposed to sitting in front of a TV in order to play. Playing AC like that drives me crazy. I can only sit in front of a screen and play for hours for certain games. Final Fantasy for example xD It needs to have some sort of storyline or else I get bored of the room I'm in xD

if it came out in a few years maybe, I bought the wii and the 3ds for animal crossing alone (of course I use them for other things too) but buying a new console just for animal crossing within a single year? nope

Read what's on his nose. Just saying'.

I already have a WiiU, but if I didn't, I wouldn't solely buy one for AC U

I have WiiU.

I wanted it because of "New Super Mario Bros: U".

I am disappointed. There are not enough games.

The drought is over now. I mean, there are so many good titles I want to try and I do not have the time to play them all.

I'm confused as to exactly what it is. Is it a replacement for the Wii itself? Or is it an add-on like the Wii Fit? I've seen like a tablet thing and I'm assuming it's that, just don't know if it'll replace the console!

Go sell your Wii. The Wii U is a brand new console, much more powerful than the Wii. It sports HD graphics and the controller is called the GamePad. This controller has a 6 inch screen that really does to home console what the Nintendo DANS did to the handheld console 8 years ago.

I have my Wii and that's more than enough for now. Since the Wii U can't play GameCube games like my Wii can, I don't feel the need to upgrade.
I will eventually in the next few years or so once my daughter is old enough to actually enjoy it. If I buy it now, it would pretty much be an expensive paper weight until something good comes out.

I seriously doubt I would buy a Wii U. There aren't any other games that I'm interested in (other than AC, I'm mostly a PC gamer), plus I like AC best when it's portable.
