Would it be weird to go backwards and start an Nl town?

So i've been playing Nh and I love the game but I went through old screen shots of a broken copy of nl I had on my 3ds and it felt nostalgic..so I was wondering if it would be weird to go backwards and start a new nl town? Do people still play online? Or has anyone merged to nh? I'm only considering nl because it's 20 dollars instead of 40

i returned but did not start a new town. i missed my town so much but it got boring quick for me though, because my town is already finished. i sometimes check if redd is visiting to complete the museum but i pretty much have my town completed. i have another town that i have to clean up but i wish i have time to take care of that. i can barely finish areas of my acnh island.

See i'm afraid of starting a town because I kinda don't want to have to worry about an nl town- I can barely manage my island..but I miss nl so idk..

your old game/town was completely corrupted? would be easier if you'd just come back to that.
my other town i just checked which villagers i have but after seeing the flowers all over the ground i left because there's no way i'm gonna tend all that with the minimum 16 pocket space lol i was like nope

Been considering the same thing honestly! There's a special kind of charm that new leaf had but I'm also scared of what my town looks like after several years of not playing :'3c

I play it everyday just to check in on my villagers but like you said I think it’s too much to be managing two towns. Just doing daily chores still takes a bit of time.

I mean if you want to but I recently opened it up to make the black horned cap and it was weird. I'm so not used to holding a 3DS anymore and I forgot where all my shops were, lol.

It was nostalgic but also sad at the same time?

I thought about playing new leaf again, but I got burnt out a long time ago on that game. so I dont know if I'll still enjoy it.

It would definitely be different from the experience in NH, but I would say go for it and good luck!
