Would I be able to plot my villager's house here?

It's hard to tell because of this small distance to the cliff. I would say try it out a few times and if the
house doesn't show up on that spot then I guess it will not work. After all, an (villager) house needs
enough space around it if it's next to a cliff, river, pond, rock or another house.

Very likely, yes. I’ve had villagers in similar arrangements, and it looks like the one corner by the cliff can hold a pattern tile, so it should be safe.

Yes! I think so. I?ve had villagers in even more difficult (and annoying) spots.
