Worth it to buy the Sanrio cards now?

I've ordered a set, they're relatively cheap on Nintendo's UK website for anyone over this side of the pond. I think they're pretty nice collectibles, though I'm more excited about sharing them with the community and having some visitors over to get items they want. :)

Plus, I just need Etoile in my town. She is absolutely adorable...

Okay, I caved in and got them.
I'm just hoping they arrive in one piece and it was actually worth it.

Now the question is - will I be able to share the villagers with anyone from my cycling town?
Will they be adoptable?
What about the sets? Can I sell them for bells and re-order the same items again?

Thanks.

The Sanrio characters can't be adopted out to other mayors. You can only ask them to move into your own town.

Has anyone who ordered cards on ebay received them? Do they work?.

I have bought cards off of Ebay and they work! They are from series 1-4 though, not the Sanrio cards but I assume they work the same.

Do they ship to Canada? That price is beautiful for all 6!

I don't really think it's a question of whether or not they get lost in the mail, since mail doesn't get lost so easily and more often than not would arrive the person's place without any problems. It's about you wanting them and finding the investment worth it.

I might buy one pack of Sanrio cards but that's it, since I don't really care about that series that much, for instance.

Hm, I'm not sure! As an alternative there is someone on eBay selling them directly from Japan for about $10 with free P&P, and if they're the same pack that's listed on the Nintendo website then all six cards should be in the pack. I think that's still pretty great!

Japanese packs are blind packs with two cards and a random sticker, not all 6 like the EU ones.
